Building software at ALSIC(opens in a new tab).
Curious about everything around it.

A broad foundation.
A curious mind.

I’m Gianni, a fullstack developer based in Belgium. I enjoy understanding how the pieces fit together, from the interface you interact with to the systems behind it.

Software at ALSIC.

Projects I contribute to as a Software Engineer, since July 2023.

  1. OBU(opens in a new tab)

    Freight traffic & route analysis

    — present

Building and maintaining the website, backend controllers, and workers for the Flemish Traffic Centre. Processing batches of truck coordinates into routes with OpenStreetMap and Valhalla, with Grafana alongside the application.

  2. VTIS(opens in a new tab)

Vessel traffic in the Scheldt area

    — present

Developing backend services and Angular interfaces for vessel travel information, with integration and application testing. Extending the on-premise Kubernetes setup through infrastructure as code, GitOps, and observability tooling.

  3. Watertoets Instrument 2

    Water policy & dynamic questionnaires

    — present

Developing the administration and user applications for a dynamic questionnaire platform. The system supports questionnaire management, saved progress, and printable results, with automated deployments across development environments.

My own little internet.

A club website, a homelab, and space to keep experimenting.

  1. HomeLab

    Self-hosted services & experiments

My own environment for hosting apps, running containers, and trying out tools. From photos and automation to monitoring and game servers, with TrueNAS as part of the setup.
